The importance of dads in a child's life cannot be overstated. I’m not going to provide links to stats on the results of fatherlessness on boys and girls. You can find those yourself. It isn’t pretty.

I had a great dad. I wrote about him here.

I have three children in their twenties and two grandkids. I have a good relationship with all of them so I think I did okay. That’s for them to determine.

I hope you are appreciated, Dad.

You work hard to provide for your family.
You fight the battles even when you’re scared.
You take the hits and get back up.
You’re a grizzly and a teddy bear.

Be spoiled today, Dads. You deserve it.
