I think this happens every era.

Kids these days are literally pummeled throughout their academic life to figure it all out by the time they are 16 or 17. They need to have a plan for their life by the time they graduate high school, and if they don’t, well, they are failures. I think this happens every era. It depends where you grow up. I was born in '66 was expected to go to University as were all my friends. It's a lot of pressure.
