Jesus uses hyperbole very well to make his point. If slapped on one side, the impulse is to strike back. As you've highlighted Jesus says the kingdom thing to do is not to. Act as if you offer him the other side. Pray for him, bless him, love him. It's difficult without the Holy Ghost. Good article.
