This is clearly a western view. In other cultures, being 'madly in love' comes after marriage. There's a man, a woman and both are available. Families meet and the two are married in a month. Love is a decision.
As you say, the tiktoker is partly right. But only because, as you rightly say, the one who got away never became the exhausted, nagging wife.
