We pay teachers to teach but ultimately parents are the ultimate teachers. If your kid can't read, parents are as much to blame as the teachers. When you get home from work, dad, put down the remote and find out how your kid is doing. Yes, if the teachers are lacking they need to be held accountable. But don't let your kid fall behind in reading because of the teachers. It's not physics or chemistry. It's reading. Teach them!
