“Darryl, take us for a tour of the main house,” demanded Percy, the pig.
“No, I can’t,” barked Darryl.
Being disobedient went against his German Shepherd code.
“You guys know that only Darryl and I are allowed in the main house,” said Cindy the cat. “There’s no way Darryl should allow you to enter that house.”
“You’re not going to let a cat tell you what to do, are you?” goaded Oak, Percy’s brother. “I thought dogs were better than that.”
“You’re a disgrace to your species,” said Percy.
Darryl bristled. “Stop it, you guys. You know what the rules are as well as I do!”
“Don’t listen to them,” said Cindy.
“Don’t listen to them,” repeated Percy mockingly. “Are you serious, Darryl?”
“Be a dog and be daring for a change,” pressed Oak.
They continued to push Darryl, playing on his insecurities.
“Okay, I’ll let you in the house.”
“Darryl, no!” said Cindy.
